Acer V3-571G Uefi Bios 2.xx downgrade to 1.xx
#11
OK. I've done some research on web and I found something like this http://catchtito.blogspot.com/2013/05/ho...-bios.html.
There is solution how to upgrade bios from 1.x to 2.x the problem was Bios Compare Error.
In my case I have similar issuses. When I try to downgrade BIOS from 2.14 to other below it I have BIOS Compare Error.
I extract installation bios file (the original one from acers website) and modify platform.ini. But when I want to start InsydeFlash.exe it overwrites platform.ini and display same error.
Anybody could help me with that. I don't want to have modify BIOS with all features I need original acer BIOS but with ONE OPTION. Disable Nvidia graphic card.

Hi friend,
actualy Recovery Mode is the only way to Upgrade or Downgrade Bios on laptops so
If You want to pass from 1.xx (Bios not signed and not Capsulated) use Recovery Mode to return from 2.xx to 1.xx the same thing.
If You are 2.0x and want to update at 2.xx You can use Original anyway without issue !
The Tabs into Bios have many Settings and using Search function in Googl e.it You can find all !
There is a Bios Mod v.2.21 too !
Regards

Recovery Procedure :

Extract from Original Bios v1.13 (use 7Zip or WinRar) and rename as Recovery Name Q5WV1X64.fd then prepare an
USB Fat32 Formatted Stick and copy into that file and use this Procedure :

- Performing the emergency flash:

- Shutdown the netbook (notebook)
- Remove all peripheral devices
- Remove battery, Remove AC power cord
- Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds (battery and AC power still out), then release
- Put the USB Memory Stick in the USB port
- Hold "Fn" + "Esc" and plug the AC power cord in
- Now press the power button (whilst still holding Fn + Esc).
Wait until the fan will run, then release "Fn" + "Esc" keys
- The fan will run for about 2-10 minutes and the USB drive activity LED will blink
- I think the netbook rebooted automatically. If it doesn't, unplug the AC power cord once the fan has turned off

The bios should be updated with the modified BIOS, and boot as per normal.

This is only for 1.xx Bios be ware as 2.xx are Capsulated !!!

Let me know
Regards

Hi friend,
interesting your discovery, but russian It's not easy for me I have translate in english !
If I understand You have changed chunk hex data into Bios to downgrade from 2.xx to 1.xx and modified chunk hex data to downgrade from 2.xx to 2.04 version.
Can You explain better in english, please !
You're great and brave as is very Dangerous to do this without an SPI PGM.
I wil wait your reply
Regards

I have wrote a lot of time ago this Dirty Guide about Remove Capsule (Decapsulate Bios) to get Recovery File and I found It works
so was possible to use Recovery Procedure on new bioses Signed and Capsulated !

http://rghost.net/52544682

Recovery Bios doesn't matter which Bios version You have into Eeprom, ideed It load new one there is into USB (do all check about name
etc.) and flash into Eeprom directly, so It's the only way (2nd is Intel FPT tool) to Upgrade or Downgrade Bios Version.
Donovan6k was trying to patch InsydeFlash dll to avoid all check and use the InsydeFlash tool to reflash Eeprom, but was out of luck !
My be this can explain better what I said and You can reply easiest to me !

I did so:
I opened Q5WV1.bin for 1.05 (Q5WV1X64.fd for 1.13) in WinHex
Then Navigation - Go To Offset... - 20000 also we delete a piece 1FFF0 and all that is higher than

Then Navigation - Go To Offset... - 409ED0 also we copy (DO NOT CUT) 7 lines

Then Navigation - Go To Offset... - 40DE00 we select lower than 7 blank lines, we delete and we insert

We save
We rename Q5WV1.bin into Q5WV1X64.fd

The correction of the first point - FAT32 is possible also

If directly doesn't quit downgrade from version 2.XX on 1.XX and we hear a signal 3 times, it is necessary to make downgrade to the V2.01 version (only V2.01 version) .
http://rghost.ru/56868116
Then from 2.01 downgrade to the V1.XX version.

P.S.
For restoration in CRM these lines are in firmwares of V3-571G of V2.XX versions on this offset (40DE00). Therefore downgrade becomes possible)))

Acer V3-571G Bios 1.XX downgrade to 1.05
For downgrade in CRM from the V1.XX version to V1.05 it is enough to delete only a piece in the beginning
Navigation - Go To Offset... - 20000 also we delete a piece 1FFF0 and all that is higher than

If it is interesting you watch my video
ACER V3-571G BIOS v2.04 Downgrade and Unlocked by TolstyLuty - YouTube

"You're great and brave as is very Dangerous to do this without an SPI PGM.

It isn't dangerous, I so stitched about 100 times. Certainly, experimenting, I many times did the notebook by a brick. But I always recovered.

"Donovan6k was trying to patch InsydeFlash dll to avoid all check and use the InsydeFlash tool to reflash Eeprom, but was out of luck !"

Too I was engaged in it, but I threw. Recover and downgrade for me is better and less headache in CRM

PS
I apologize for my translation, editors if will consider the necessary will modify
