Apple HP logo mod
#1
Here is the BIOS I need modded: http://www.bios-mods.com/BIOS/index.php?dir=Whitelists%2F&download=sp52604_NWL_ByCamiloml.exe

I intend to make this Laptop into a Hackintosh so I want a custom splash.

The forum sticky requests splash screens in 800x600 256 bmp, but I know the bios file is a stretched jpg.

Here's the new splash, I've made it the same size as the OEM image and accounted for stretching. http://i.imgur.com/ftvcgEb.jpg

609DDF84-0816-46AA-92E8-3E9A7AFC4CA is the splash file.

Edit: My computer needs the 1425F37.fd if there was any confusion.

Thanks in advance.

I resolved the "Load file: New rom size does not match platform!" issue.

You cannot flash HP bios outside the wrapper without modifying your configuration .ini. If you don't want to risk messing up your configuration file to force the install, your other option is to wrap the installer back up into an .exe

You'll need 7zip and 7z sfx builder

1.) Download your stock bios installer package.

2.) Extract all the contents of your bios installer package.

3.) Replace or modify the .fd file for your bios.

4.) Zip everything in the extration folder into a .7z (leave the default setting.)

5.) Open 2 instances of 7z sfx builder (open your newly created .7z & your old .exe.)

6.) Match your old .exe settings with the new .7z setting in 7z sfx builder.

- Will explain what settings to leave when I'm on the computer to take screens.

7.) Create your .exe.

8.) Flash your bios.
