Aspire 5532 unlocking advanced menu
#1
Hello everyone and thanks in advance for reading ; ),

I have an Acer Aspire 5532 with an InsydeH20 Bios. Recently I upgraded the CPU from an Athlon TF-20 to a Turion TL-62, and have no major heating issues. While I was in there I also worked on improving my Radeon hd 3200 GPU's heatsink in order to prep it for overclocking. At the time of this writing I have been able to software overclock the processor using Setfsb, but I was unable to find anyway to overclock the GPU.

Anyways, I am wondering if I can get the advanced menu unlocked in my bios in order to change the frequencies/voltages to make the CPU's overclock permanent, and also to unlock my GPU's overclocking ability.

I know you guys haven't gotten into the Insyde bios's yet, but I am interested even in knowing about a general procedure you follow to do so... I am very much a newbie when it comes to bios modding.

Thanks in advance for any advice your willing to give about any part of this thread : )

use rivatuner for the video card. it's made for ati cards but also works with nvidia cards as well. as for advanced options. your waiting like the rest of us, as there is currently no way to unlock insyde bios setup tables or menu options. sorry

to do with it. flash at your own risk! And please

Thank you for the prompt response...

I have tried Rivatuner/Amd GPU tool and a few others.... The problem is they never seem to work right (always whacked out configuration settings, and not much in the way of information on my specific hardware) I don't think my mobility graphics card is a very common model to tune....

This is the main reason I am interested in the BIOS modding route ; )
I appreciate what you guys are doing!
