Asus P5K-E Wifi AP

Hi there,

I've downloaded this BIOS onto my PK5-E WiFi and set it to RAID.

The problem I am getting with this BIOS and I am not sure if others are getting is that the 'detecting drives' bit when the computer is switched on takes about a minute.

With official BIOSes they seem to go straight through. I have tried to change the setting in the BIOS to 0 or 5 seconds, but it still takes about a minute.

Is everyone getting that?

Thanks.

For the past couple of years I've been using the last modified bios (p5k-e-1305-imr10.6.0.1091-jmb10728.rom) from this thread. Its been great with exception of having the JMB36x controller slowly detect a HDD under AHCI during boot up.

I've been wanting to update my bios to latest Intel RST bios (13.2.0.2134) and try the 1.08.01 version of JMB36x. Made the bios with latest 1305 bios, and everything seems to be working. All my Intel RAID sets were not broken after update and HDD detection seemed to slightly decrease under JMB36x. It was also able to detect and list the attached hard drive. Something it was not doing under 1.07.28.

Performance seem to be identical as well.

All new ROMs came from http://www.win-raid.com/t7f13-AHCI-amp-R...dules.html

As usual, please use at your own risk.

Note: The difference between the two files, one has the Intel mod which allows SSD TRIM under RAID0, other does not.

Don't forget to rename file to p5k-e-1305.rom, load it to USB pin drive, and flash from BIOS flash utility.

Make sure you are also running latest Intel RST drivers (v. 13.[censored]) from Intel.

Enjoy!
