hmmmm. i may have changed my slic info with an activator at some point i think. not sure if that means anything..

doesn't mean anything as even the original unmodded bios from HP cant be opened for us to unlock!

Well im using a new utility that can help us reconstruct the bios menus without opening it which will let us know if there's anything to unclock. Then if there is we can extract the item.bin and set the hex bits. We could also try adding option roms but im not ready to attempt that yet.

I can also confirm that I was able to extract the award modules but cannot load the BIOS as of yet either.

Please use this tool and attach the image so we can work with it.

I've tried several tools that just won't open your backup image at all despite it being Award. Im still thinking but at this point you might consider trying to find a board witht he same specs and flash its BIOS on this board, assuming you can get a tester with a spare chip.

Hi all. I've done already a search but i haven't solved. I would the Asus P5LP-LE's bios mod for overclocking and for disable Intel C1E. This is the original bios preinstalled from HP (a6220): http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software10...p37378.exe . I also attach rom and bin files. I know it's at my own risk, but it is a computer where I am only testing so even if something goes wrong does not matter. Thanks a lot if if anyone answers me.

Is it possible to unlock this so I can turn of the fan rpm test duing POST, and enable wake on lan?
