Did you try S17? I got a "Boot block is invalid" when trying to update to S17.

I updated it using eazy flash or whatever it's called and everything went fine.

Yeah, false alarm here. I re-downloaded S17 and double checked the MD5 with the first one, and it was different. So I re-formatted my usb flash drive and put the newly downloaded S17 bios on it and it flashed just fine. Thanks

And thanks again to ZioGTS, you will surely be missed especially since this motherboard has so many years left in it.

Now I want to know how to install the >Marvell 91xx-92xx AHCI & RAID driver v1.2.0.1041 WHQL< what is the procedure to be done ??? do not know much about it, I thank anyone who can help.

I'm sorry, I dont' have my R3E anymore and I don't like to release bios mods without testing them. By the way, the Marvell bios can be flashed independently from the motherboard bios, and the newest Intel IRST versions are not meant to work with the old chipset used in R3E.
