Could you make a basic SLIC mod, just so I can check it works? If that works okay, then it's obviously the boot rom, and I'll try some other roms (like PLOP), and do them myself.
One just Slic2.1 and the other Slic2.1 and rtegrom changed on the fly, if it works i will explain
Sorry, I've been working on my Z68-UD7 this week, but I've got the MA-2DH in now, and I'm trying one of your new BIOS. Can't tell which, only see DOS 8.3 names... checksum = 9800.
I also came across the raw PXE code for the Realtek chip, which might be interesting. Anyway... reboot and....
it's reverted to F8 and is in a loop of death again.
It was probably the PXE version. I will try the SLIC version, once I recover the death loop thing.
... file #2, CHECKSUM = EC00 ... and it worked.
Congratulation, you can make BIOS... it's my ROM image that's faulty.
But now that I have a copy of the latest official ROM, I can start playing some more.
Let me know how you made these, and I'll potter off and work on it. Thanks for you understand.
(PS. In my defense, I really can do BIOS work. I changed the boot logo on my Acer D250 ATOM (H2O Insyde). That was seriously difficult... well, seriously difficult to find the right version of the tool anyway.)
