No but there are ways to create dual 330w in parallel so they get equal loads. There's a thread at Tech Inferno and NBR... The one I read was for M17xR2 but the idea and power supply modifications would be the same. Also amazing info Barcode thanks for that. I wish I had a watt reading of this cpu after mods no way full CPU overclock and full you overclock would work with the 330 watts... The display can take 80 watts or more too.

I just noticed in the comparision post that they were using a desktop cpu 990x drawing in 130w our mobile cpu's are only 45w or 55w. So pretty much you can knock off 90w which will bring it well within 330w power limit, overclocking is another story tho!!

Still might be burried in the EC FW, but I don't know where to search anymore.. Maybe if we could get schematics of that design, but I haven't found them yet... I checked and found schematics for M11x (Compal project NAP00) only. M18x project ID is PAR10. If there's some pin dedicated to signalize throttling it might be visible in the schematics.
Or maybe the throttling condition is detected by EC FW, then forwarded to BIOS and via ACPI notifies the system. In this case we wouldn't need to modify EC, just catch the right BIOS/ACPI code...

In this case , we need to modify the DSDT its the only module in ACPI tables which holds all temps , active cooling , passive cooling .....etc .
i will look deeply inside the DSDT today and see what can i do .

Dont ask how or who i got it from the main thing is its here the OFFICAL A00 BIOS in 64bit and normal exe.
Now we are in business!

One file is the driver for the video card support, the other is the actual bios A00 so dell said

Heh, I don't think so - you would need to have extremely good contact there..
But if they would send it, it would be a hammer!
Once it happened to me that I had a good contact in the engineering team of a different ODM and he sent me pieces of EC source code for a certain popular notebook..

I see why you wanted the A00 bios seems to hold higher and longer cpu clocks without throttle cool.
And yes flashed this on my 580m all ok testing now! Not to sure what that other file is suppose to do.
