here is the file i found in the interwebs, but i would like a moderator or someone to recheck the file, i use it since a couple of weeks and so far i did not have any problems or anything. heads up my antivirus activate when i try to unzip but i was using a virtual machine to unzip files. but it could be a false positive.

this file seems to update the bios to slic 2.1, i'll know for sure as soon as i install windows 7, however it creates and probably executes a number of other suspicious files, and caused explorer to crash repeatedly.

if you use this file i'd advise that you install it on a trashed system and then format the drive and reinstall windows from scratch.

nope-- still om the old bios version. this is some attempt at a hardware based hack/spyware. do not use.

I have SLIC 2.1'd the Optiplex 330 A11 BIOS over in this thread for anyone that's interested.

Free Windows 10 Upgrades still work on these machines but you have to have installed Windows 7 or 8 and run the Windows 10 setup.exe within the existing Operating System first.  Once you've got it upgraded you can use your favorite tool to find your Windows 10 license key, and do a fresh install from bootable DVD or USB.
