Core 2 Quad processors are not supported for the Dell Vostro 220s. Could someone please add support? Thanks.

Do you have a CPU you will be able to test the upgrade with? If you've already tried is there anything to report? I'll take a look at the microcode meanwhile.

Unfortunately I don't have one. I don't want to buy a CPU and then have it not work. I've heard repeatedly that the Dell Vostro 220s does not support Core 2 Quad because Dell just chose not to do it because of 'marketing' or something like that.
