Hi friend,
which Bios version was last updated into your Laptop 1.07 or different ?
Many Bioses after 2.xx cannot rool-back simply, but need to came back
from higher to lower using iintermediate version.
I have to understand if Recovery Procedure worked or not ? as

Hi friend,
here is Recovery Procedure for Acer :

- Performing the emergency flash:

- Shutdown the netbook (notebook)
- Remove all peripheral devices
- Remove battery, Remove AC power cord
- Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds (battery and AC power stillout),
- then release
- Put the USB Memory Stick in the USB port
- Hold "Fn" + "Esc" and plug the AC power cord in
- Now press the power button (whilst still holding Fn + Esc).
Wait until the fan will run, then release "Fn" + "Esc" keys
- The fan will run for about 2-10 minutes and the USB drive activity LED will blink
- I think the netbook rebooted automatically. If it doesn't, unplug the AC power cord
- once the fan has turned off

The bios should be updated with the modified BIOS, and boot as per normal.

Hello, I just bought this laptop Acer Aspire E5-771G. I installed Windows 8.1 x64 into the laptop.

And then I tried to install newest BIOS version (1.15). System restarted and everything seemed fine. I don't know why, but I launched BIOS 1.15 exe again, the progress bar went full as first time and then Acer boot start screen appeared.

And that's all. Now, nothing happens. It doesn't react to keyboard, optical drive opens and closes, it spins disc, but no effect. can't get to boot menu, nothing.

Any help, please...

I tried updating BIOS with flash drive. For me, it happens so:
It turns on - black screen, flash drive's LED flashes for 2 seconds straight, then goes off, then flashes two times fast and laptop's screen flashes for miliseconds. Then the loop goes again. Forever. Nothing happens.

The BIOS before my BIOS update was 1.11 I think.

Hi friend,
actualy all manifacturers are disabling the Recovery Procedure
to avoid the Bios Managing as UEFI is RSA Signed and cannot
introduce Virus or Mods into It.
In yours cases I would consider to use an HW SPI PGM to reflash
Bios Original or Modified too !
Look here :

https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-R...val?page=3

If You consider to buy and use It I can help to do this work !
