Fujitsu Celsius R930 (D3118-A2) unlocked BIOS + whitelist removal
#1
For anyone who needs, this is a patched BIOS v1.8.0 for Celsius R930 (motherboard D3118-A22). Whitelist is removed and all admin options available (PCIe bifurcation, all virtualization options).

PCIe Bifurcation was tested with an ASUS Hyper M.2 v2 + 2 NVMe and is fully functionnal.

Hi @qix67

Thanks! Does this mean that you can now boot from an M2 NVMe drive? This would be incredible!

Hi xberg

I have not tried but I don't remember seeing such an option. However, during my test, after adding my NVMe drives, I only focused on PCIe bifurcation and virtualization.

In my current configuration, I have 2 NVMe but I boot from a SATA SSD because my previous motherboard did not support NVMe boot.

Thank you very much for your answer @qix67
I'm not quite brave enough to test this but I appreciate the effort: it seems the R930 Celsius has 0 support on the web Smile

Hello, can you send me the working  afudos program?
I got the r930, and the hyper v2 , and now i would like to flash it.

And i can this with rufus   csm// , afudos xy.rom    ?

Thank you.

And the M730 fujitsu can do the same thing with some mod?

Hello,

I used afudos.exe downloaded from this link: AMI AFUDOS
I put afudos.exe and ROM file on a bootable freedos usb key and boot it in CSM mode (not tested in UEFI mode).
Just be sure to update your R930 bios to latest official fuji BIOS prio to anything.
You can download latest fuji bios here: Fujitsu R930 latest bios

Unzip the official bios archive on the root folder of your bootable usb key.
It contains a file name D3118-A2.rom which allows booting even if the motherboard bios is unbootable (use recovery jumper). I confirm recovery mode works well as I totally trashed my bios during my patch attempts. Reflashing the official bios in recovery mode is ok but I never tried to flash a patched bios in recovery mode.

Very important. After flashing official bios, reboot and load defaults settings.
Without doing this, it is impossible to flash any bios (official or patched) as the bios became write protected (despite bios option telling it is
not).

On the same usb key, I created a folder where I put afudos.exe and my patched BIOS.

About M730, if you want, I can give a try but I will have no way to test.
I think the same patch can be applied because bios is also an aptio 4, it is for the same CPU and the mainboard looks really close to R930 (even latest bios release date is the same).

What are in the "CPU status Admin" Menu?
Is there any cpu overclocking option available?

Hi.

"CPU status Admin" is a junk menu entry. According to IFR extractor, it tries to go to a form which is not defined anywhere. I have encountered few entries like this one. If you try to open this menu, nothing happens.

It looks like it is possible to overclock CPU. I see several "Core Ratio Limit" entries and "VID Override for Max Turbo Ratio" but I did  not use them.
