You should always label disks with tape and paper, so you know which goes where and which port it's cable goes into the board with.

Use your original BIOS from page 2, if you want RAID orom back to old one. For CPU microcodes, you need in there for the new CPU don't you?
Realtek is not really doing anything for you right now, so get your RAID sorted out first then decide for sure what you want to do.

1. is not needed, use your BIOS on page 2
2. I already gave you that BIOS + microcode updates, these are not causing your RAID issues, so no reason to create BIOS like this.

I do them with marker even Smile

I had reverse CPU to fps 1333 one, have no 1333 memory for fps 1600 one.
And for now will no change hardware,
so hardware is as it was at the beginning.
I know what messed up with raids, the modified OROM with trim.
Trim did some mess on drives and all failed.
I guess I go for not modified OROM from Intel, but now I reverse to old bios.

Funny my backup system on solo disk messed with RAR Smile cannot open RAR files...
Can you send me my downloaded from PC at very beginning BIOS f12e in zip format?
Just working on too many things at once,
tomorrow have to travel 370 km for most probably one of the most important interview in my life...
and it is on (.00 pm so will have to stay there overnight. maybe I need some break from PC...
Must be prepared for tomorrow but.... lost all my newest digitally prepared portfolio...
I will manage anyway,
so far got all my disks and partitions on recovery tool... not bad
but it will take 2 days + to recover all Smile
No time for this now. So, for now, I am OK, now the plan is like this: reverse to old bios and finish recovery.
so Will need my original bios by Sunday morning.
Thank you for cooperation, and I know we will do best bios for my mobo finally Smile

You can choose lower memory multiplier if you want, then memory wont run at 1600

TRIM would not mess with the drives. Are the SSD anyway? If not, TRIM definitely would not cause issue, but if SSD shouldn't either, but change of orom can cause need to rebuild array. Best to decide which update you want and then do clean install onto array.

Here is both files from post one rar at very top of page, not in any zip or rar

Was really great the best 2 h!!! since 8 +years, OMG, maybe something, the mission of my life here, has not ended yet...

the original bios we talk about ( from my MOBO) working on beginning of the conversation, was from 2 page of this thread, (attached)

let us work on this one as it was completely harmless and no error working.

BTW: I am a bit confused how can I permanently lower memory multiplyerand than change hardware memory sticks.. this sounds a bit new to me.

Memory multiplier can be lowered here at this setting
[Image: 2GmWjAz.png]

Set MCH strap to 333Mhz or leave this on auto.
Memory Multiplier SPD is the one that controls actual memory speed (memory speed = this setting x FSB)
at 333 FSB - 3.20B =1066Mhz memory speed
--------------- 4.00B =1333Mhz memory speed

Your memory is 1600Mhz memory, so should be able to run 4.00B no problem, since 1333Mhz is less than it's default of 1600
You have to raise FSB to 400 to reach 1600Mhz memory speed

Great, never been this deep in the adjustment of memory, I am at the final stage of recovering my 3 TB matrixes, have already images of all important partitions, so no worry progress pending. Real life is as well going better except development of my 13 yo Son, who gradually becomes so stubborn with the support of my long time ago separated from me his mother... Women are the weakest part of the world, but really essential for the continuation of the existence of mankind... and even this they refuse in our cultural region... long story and big time.
First things first and then some experiments Smile this screen from bios looks like mine except fonts, I like Times Smile shell I calculate the higher FSB to different config? lower it to calculated values? so if FSB will be 1600 which is AAA(400Mhz as I reckon) x ## = 1600
The 1333 in MHD will be 3.33 so closest is 3.2 I will get 1280 for memory this time will be something to tune CPU like 420 and mem will go on 1344 ... maybe this will work stable...? or clock for memory rise up but first I will have to get stable PC on these memories (in 4 slots all 16 GIGs) and other CPU.
But still, I have first get my partitions back...
GReat to talk to pro person Smile
Have a nice Sunday, and CY Later Smile

Ouch, sorry I know 2TB take a long time, 3TB wow how long will it take do you think?
Your son will get better as he gets older you know it will turn out all OK Smile

Yes, that image of BIOS is from the manual, I grabbed as a reference to show you exact settings. Some things probably updated since they made the manual too so maybe other settings, or different names etc.

With 400 FSB set MCH Strap to 400 (D)
Then at 400 FSB - 2.66D =1066Mhz memory speed
--------------------- 3.33D =1333Mhz memory speed

If you want 1600MHz memory with 400 FSB set MCH to 333
and at 400 FSB - 3.20B =1280Mhz memory speed
------------------- 4.00B =1600Mhz memory speed

If you only want 1333Mhz memory, best way to set it I showed you in post #56, unless you want to use 400 FSB too, then use these settings in this post

With MCH set 333, and 400 FSB, you may need to loosen advanced timing tRRD to 7 or 8 from auto which might set 5-7

Don't let MCH 333 FSB 400 etc confuse you, the MCH is the northbridge timing, lower setting with faster FSB is better performance but may need tuning to be stable. Lower you set MCH performance goes down, but only certain MCH setting with certain FSB can get you the memory speeds you want.

He is no problem unless coming back from destructive mum, with some ideas making me scarry...
About adjustment, I have to visualise myself 3d layers of settings and I will analyse this all later,
but now fighting with the destroyed matrix as it has negative cluster addresses.. this is weird...
anyway have enough straight HDD to backup all and experiment later. For now, do not even dare to set "Raid" in bios lol Smile

Sorry RAID is still giving you issues! I've never had such problems with RAID, even when updating oroms, not sure why it's giving you such a headache?
