-Bios Revision : 83.09
-Bios Type : Phoenix
-Bios SLIC : 2.0 Need 2.1
-Bios Link : Not available for download (Gateway does not provide download link at this moment, please let me what should I do)

Thanks for the quick response, admin.

I am traveling now and the laptop will not be with me for a few days. But I did make a bios backup using "Universal Bios Backup.exe", and the link is http://rapidshare.com/files/452138124/Ga...-83.09.rom
. Does that work?

I just made a bios dump, and uploaded at http://rapidshare.com/files/452926442/Ga...9_bios.bak.
Hope it can be mod to SLIC 2.1. Thanks in advance for the help.

Here you go , i used Acer 2.1 SLIC + Certificate Included:-

1. Copy and paste ******.XRM-MS certificate file into C-Drive.

2. After pasting this file into C-Drive, go to START - ALL PROGRAMS - ACCESSORIES - COMMAND PROMPT. Right click on Command Prompt and RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.

3. When Command Prompt opens, type at the prompt: slmgr.vbs -ilc c:\********.xrm-ms and hit the Enter Button. Wait for the Script Host to answer you with a message that the license was installed successfully....this could take a few minutes and so be patient.

4. After receiving the message that the license was installed successfully, type at the command prompt:

slmgr.vbs -ipk *****-*****-*****-*****-***** (Replace with any OEM SLP Product Key for your installed version of Windows 7 , they are not hard to find).Be Patient and wait for the message to say that the Product Key was successfully installed. After it says successfully installed, reboot the computer.

5. When you are back at your desktop, go to START - COMPUTER - right click on Computer and choose PROPERTIES and see if it is activated with an OEM product ID.

I have the same ML3109 Laptop and unfortunately the modded BIOS could not be loaded. It gave the following error:

Looking for interface descriptors and code...
cbSearch= 8192 (0x00002000)
..... and so on....
cbSearch= 69632 (0x00011000)
Failed: no Part signature found in the file

Error code : -161(0xFFFFFF5F)
Description:
Part Table Signature not found in the Interface.
Error code: -161

Could you re-attempt and re-upload?

I also tried to flash the bios with this modded file, and got the same errors as bandit1 did. I used winflash for the flashing.

I did some research today, and found that the MB of ML3109 (model 4006148R) is used by several other gateway laptops such as MT31 and MT37 series. There is a new bios 83.10 available for these laptops at http://support.gateway.com/support/drivers/getFile.asp?id=23966&dscr=Gateway%20BIOS%20Update%20Version%208310&uid=29993927. I have flashed my ML3109 with this 83.10 and it works.
