HP DV6-6180us Whitelist Removal

Update:
Everything is working fine now. I did not need the pin 20 tape like whoowhee needed. The only real caveat was that after installing the chip, I had to uninstall and reinstall the driver. Until I did that, I was getting a "device is unable to start" (code 10) type error in the device manager. After restarting, the chip still works so I'm calling it a success. Are there any known problems with the modded bios? I know the camiloml had the semi-brick problem and you couldn't adjust the bios options. Does this have similar constraints?

Thanks for the donation! Big Grin

Camiloml's sp55068 bios didn't have their checksums updated after he modded it. This was due to the utility that he was using to mod it. So this is the cause for the semi-bricks that occur in most of the HP RSA bios thta he modded. All modern EFI/UEFI bios modding tools have correct this issue, so there's no issues with semi-bricks on my version. I would recommend you avoid changing settings, like GPU settings, that affect crucial parts of your laptop since youd don't want to mess those up Tongue

I have an HP dv6 6153cl and am trying to install the Intel 7260 dual channel card with bluetooth. I was not able to download the modded version of the sp55068 from the link you provided.
How can get access to that link?
