Thanks The Wiz, you are the man, but I get the same result as "drfr"...
Is this the Windows 7 police in action? Smile

Now the link is bad... Everywhere it's posted. What should I do?

topicarticwolf could only get it to flash from ubuntu with a linux only program, so I would like to get the dos working. OldB, please find the latest version of AMIflash (im on my phone so can't atm, easy to find toygh) and use:

amiflash nameofbios.rom /a /b /c and see if that works out.

I'll update the NVIDIA link, not a big deal.

nForce nTune System Tools ESA version 6.10

Now for my problem/dilemma is that this bios mod is award(correct me if im wrong there) and my bios is Phoenix Technologies, LTD 5.29, 22/05/2009.
Also i dont own a flash drive go figure Tongue and i do not have a floppy drive in the pc ....is there a Winflash i can use(will it work) or maybe somehow i can use a blank cd? have plenty of those. all help apreciated.

It says Phoenix Tetchnologies because they bought Award, the deal is the new modified BIOS is AMI. You can use a blank CD with the same effect.

drfr: This is what worked for topicarticwolf from Ubuntu:

Download and install this tool:
http://www.flashrom.org/Downloads

Then run it and point it to the ROM file. It will notify you it is an unknown chip, just tell it to proceed with the flash and it will work fine. Make sure any options for writing bootblock and clearing cmos are checked if any at all, otherwise it'll do that automatically.

Question
Ok so ... i have found i have a card read and have a spare SD have made the boot SD and put the bios on it as well as afudos & uniflash (Both of those do not work) one says unknown bios chip the other (amiflash) says bios is not supported... haveing said all that i found this site....

BIOS FLASH UTILITY's

Now it Has all 4 flash utility's ... and since my bios says its Phoenix Technologies bios i can use the phoenix flasher? with the bios mod? or do i need some version of a particular one?? (says the utiility has no switches) i really want to get rid of the CPU fan failed message and have my pc boot without me standing there waiting to press f2.

I hope i have made some sense... lol

You sorta got the point across. As I have mentioned to a couple others the linux method is the only one that has worked for us so far, which is why we were continuing to test other DOS methods. I'd ignore all of the Phoenix stuff, its irrelevant for you because the new BIOS is AMI.

Please see if you can install Ubuntu and get the above idea working.
