I have not got the HP_TOOLS partition.
I try to install Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230 but when I power up the screen stay black and nothing happen.
I tried installing Camiloml's BIOS from other dv6 model but nothing changed.

Try searching the forum for sp55068 you will find link to nwl bios.

What will the laptop do when you plug your unsupportrd card? Error message? Halts and doesn't boot?....

Hi everybody i tried this modded BIOS too on my HP dv6 6020el with no results
It happened this:

1) I ran your package (sp55068 insyde bios F.1B) under W7 (64bit)
2) system restarted
3) Bios upgrade window appeared and i confirmed i want to upgrade

Then another window opened giving me the error "The System BIOS update failed"

I have a BCM 4313 devID [14e4-4727]

Do you know if there is a solution to this error?
