Have A Gateway Computer? Want SLIC 2.1? This Is The Only Thread You Need!

I have a GATEWAY 702GE (given to me by one of my customers when he upgraded to a notebook).

Here is the BIOS information from the GATEWAY page:

SSIIL2609.exe - South Lake, South Lake 2, South Lake 3, and Luxemburg Motherboard BIOS Update Revision: SE91510J.15A.2609
Supports: All Operating Systems
Note: This is the BIOS for the Intel SE91510J (South Lake, South Lake 2, South Lake 3, Luxemburg) motherboards. All previous updates are superseded by this update.

Here is a link:

http://support.gateway.com/support/drivers/getFile.asp?id=20628&dscr=South%20Lake,%20South%20Lake%202,%20South%20Lake%203,%20and%20Luxemburg%20Motherboard%20BIOS%20Update%20Revision:%20SE91510J.15A.2609&uid=286180138

I downloaded a program RW-Everything, and I clicked on the ACPI button and it read the BIOS on the gateway - but there is no SLIC listed there.

Any ideas, am I just stuck with XP MCE 2005?

Thanks,
*BH*

just make a new SLIC request in the correcrt section Smile

I thought this was the correct forum for requesting a SLIC BIOS for a GATEWAY computer? The title of the forum says it is for GATEWAY.

Sorry this is an Intel motherboard. You have to mod these for SLIC 2.1 yourself it cannot be done for you. Please look at the tutorial in the tutorials section of the forum

I downloaded both files from the TUTORIAL for Intel motherboards. Both the GATEWAY DESKTOP and my custom build desktop will not work with those programs. The Custom Build desktop has the ASUS P4P800E-Deluxe motherboard installed and it does not like the SLIC 2.1 either.

Please advise.

Thank You

Could you mod the ml3109 bios for me? The bios is 83.09 which is not available at gateway website. But I have made a rom file using Universal Bios Backup.exe. I have uploaded this rom file to rapidshare.com with the link http://rapidshare.com/files/452138124/Ga...-83.09.rom

Thank you and look forward hearing from you.

I have a Gateway ML3109. The Bios Version is 83.09 and is not available at Gateway for Download. You attempted to make a 2.1 version on this thread
I tried loading that bios but get the error
Looking for interface descriptors and code...

cbSearch= 12288 (0x00003000)

Error code : -161(0xFFFFFF5F)

Is there any way you could re-attempt this phlash with 2.1? The bios which was uploaded here does load fine on my machine so I know it is a good starting bios.

Would appreciate it tons.
