#61
Hi friend,
the tool is a SLP Marker Imtel Tool to add PubKey and Marker 2.1 into yr Bios so
It will become Sliced 2.1 and afer You can Install Win7 and activate It !
To activate You need a Key and Certificate !
To check if Slic 2.1 is complete and present can usethe Slic Toolkit !
Regards

P.S. To activate Win7 look for any Loader with activator function on MDL

Your Brain . . . . It's the best tool U can use ! Wink
Don't FLASH the Bios Mod if You get a Size Alert, You risk a Brick !!!

Question
Okay, I went ahead and tried the two different SLP modding tools offered in this thread. It appears that because the BIOS is from e-Machines, it is protected from modification.

Exclamation QUESTION: IS IT POSSIBLE THAT an e-Machines (Acer/Gateway) BIOS CAN NOT BE MODDED to support SLP 2.1?

Using both methods I get the following response:

Exclamation OEM Activation 2.0 Utility - X006
Copyright © 2004-2007, Intel Corporation
Distributed under restricted license. Do not redistribute.

GetVariable<> failed to return EFI Varibale Size -- FAILURE
4th - NOT_FOUND
This tool is not authorized to update this BIOS.

The OA2INTEL (Intel OEM Activation 2.0) tool has pretty much answered your question, BIOS_MOD_Noob.
It can't mod the eMachines OEM based Intel board no matter what you do.  I've tried many times using OA2INTEL on a friend's eMachines T5048 media center based PC several months ago and I get that error message that the tool is not authorized to update BIOS.

It only works with "retail" non-OEM Intel boards that have part of a BIOS ID string with "86A"
eMachines uses a slightly different BIOS ID string that does not contain "86A" - that's why OA2INTEL fails

You're better off using a loader instead of the Intel tool to insert SLIC 2.1 into a Gateway/EMachines based Intel BIOS.

I have tried on Intel se7721ba1-e board. It says it is not for this board.

Up until last week it was impossible to add SLIC 2.1 into Intel motherboard bioses. Now the tools leaked out onto the net and you can follow this tutorial to add in SLIC 2.1 into your Intel motherboard bios. We cannot perform this mod for you , it must be done locally on the machine which you want modding.

1. Download the tools below

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/747181/Intel%202...odding.zip

Extract all files

2. Run the "Run Me!.bat" file.

3. Reboot

4. Check with SLIC 2.1 Toolkit , you should have Asus 2.1 SLIC Smile

5. Insert OEM SLP Key and Certificate file as usual (Certificate is included Smile)

Please reply back to this thread stating your motherboard , bios version and also whether the mod worked or not. This will help us to compile a list of compatible motherboard tor use with this tool.

Enjoy!

Could you please re-upload the link for the Intel 2.1 SLIC Modding.zip ?
reetings, and thanks,

that's because that board is a server board not a regular Intel desktop board (someone else from MDL forums tried using oa2intel on that same Intel SE7721BA1-E board and failed)
