I really need some help with Insyde BIOS F.12
#1
I'm begging some kind soul here to try and help me get a modded HP F.12 BIOS so that I can install my Intel Centrino Advanced-N 802.11 a/b/g/n Dual Band WiFi card.

Camilo was so kind to try and help and I think he got close but his last message I saw said he was getting to busy to work on it. I think it may be RSA signed which adds another level of difficulty but I'm not ready to give up.

Camilo, if you are still out there, are you willing to give it another try? I'll gladly donate for a fix.

-Manufacturer: HP (just received it from HP on January 5th, 2012)
-Model : HP dv7t-6c00 Quad Edition (Intel Processor)
-Bios Revision : F.12
-Release: 26 October 2011
-Bios Type : Insyde H2O
-UnModded Original Bios Link: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp55001-55500/sp55375.exe
-This the file that Camilo was working on but it caused my notebook to freeze after it updated the BIOS but I was able to recover with a USB pendrive - http://dl.dropbox.com/u/45117524/bios-mo...miloml.exe
-SLIC: HP ? (I'm new at this, sorry)

WiFi card currently installed: Realtek RTL8188CE 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter

Hardware ID:

PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8176&SUBSYS_1629103C&REV_01
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8176&SUBSYS_1629103C
PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8176&CC_028000

PCI\VEN_10EC&CC_028000

PCI\VEN_10EC

New Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230 802.11 a/b/g/n WiFi Adapter I want to install after "White List" is removed.

Device Name: Intel® Centrino® Advanced-N 6230

Thanks again so much for helping. I hope I'm not out of luck yet.

Is there any reason for me to keep requesting a BIOS mod for an HP Insyde RSA signed BIOS (sp55375, Intel, F.12)? I don't want to keep being a pain in the butt but I don't want to give up if there is hope. I would be willing to donate to someone who could successfully help me.

Thanks...

Sorry man, as you can see i have no time for your requests and for other's it's nothing related the bios is RSA signed, is just i'm out of spare time lastly to keep playing this game. This does not mean i'm retired, just busy.

I try to keep an eye here either from my iphone or from my computer at work, but i have no time for mods at the moment, so i just ask you to be patient and ask other talented people who can remove whitelists to cooperate in this subforum.

BIOS REPOSITORY.Please consider donating (me or forum) if you like my work.
Please remember to come back and leave feedback. I hate leech and disappear thing.

Nice day.
Camilo.

Thanks Camilo, I really appreciate all the help you have already given me. Hopefully someone can pickup where you left off or maybe someday you will have some time to work on this if you get bored. Big Grin

Thanks again...

Try this one, is reported working and seems to be for same platform 017FC

You have recovery pendrive so you have nothing to loose, and if it would not match it will refuse to flash. So give this a try.

Thank you so much Camilo, I know how busy you are and I appreciate the time you take to help others. I'll give it a try and report back.

Camilo,

Sorry to say it didn't work. It started the flash process but then stopped with a popup box that said something about a "Boot block error" and said I couldn't "downgrade" the BIOS (my original BIOS: F.12, your modded BIOS: F.02).

Thanks for the suggestion and not totally giving up on me. I wonder if I put the necessary files on my USB pendrive and "forced" it to do a restore with the "modded BIOS" if it would work? Just a thought.

Thanks again Camilo.

No, will not work trying to force a modded bios rescue flash. Let me think something more... and we will try again Wink

Bump. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I just can't understand how other BIOS can have the "white list" removed and sp55375.exe can't. The RSA must really be tough.
