Latest Sony VAIO SVS13A17GBB (SVS131 series) BIOS Update (R1021C8)

Hi, it's my first time in this section.

After some research, I discovered that the latest BIOS version for this model is R1021C8. Sony no longer offers support for this model.
I found it in Softpedia Web Site the File EP0000600732.EXE (R1021C8). 

When I tried running it, it confirmed the file is the R1021C8 version. But when I try to apply it, it says it’s not compatible. I'm not sure if the fact that the notebook has no battery affects anything.

   

QUESTIONS:

1) Is there another way to extract the .bin file from the .exe and install it?
2) Does anyone still have the original .bin file?
