Hey guys!
I want microcode for cpuid 06fd rev=A1 if anyone have it. Please note that rev=A1 is must or else will be useless for me. I downloaded microcode file from Intel's website but it is in ".dat" extension and I m unable to open it.
Also can someone please tell me how to open this ".dat" file.

Thanks
Regards
Bazil

Post screenshots of first (CPU) & third (Mainboard) tabs of CPU-Z with current CPU.
What happens exactly when you try to boot with new CPU?
BTW:Adding microcode doesn't add support for new CPU.

Thanks for reply.
Screenshots added.

And surely I945 suppport 65nm Core2 Duo Conroe CPUs with newest bios, My friend's ThinkCentre M52E (I945 too) updated from Pentium D to E2XXX by flashing new bios modified, but he can't find the bios now.

so I think the difference between the modified bios and the official bios is the cpu microcode.

Ask your friend for similar screenshots and backup BIOS by Universal BIOS Backup ToolKit 2.0.
I repeat: what happens exactly when you try to boot with new CPU? And what happened on your friend's system before BIOS updating?

when I boot my pc , nothing happened, no sound, no video output, only power led and harddisk led keep burning ,and pc fans srart.

my friend forgot what happened on his pc, and screenshot not supplied.

Attached BIOS is based on ASUS P5QPL-AM BIOS.
It has AMI type and 1M size. BIOS for ThinkCentre M52E has Phoenix type and 512K size.
So your friend lied to you.
Your motherboard doesn't support VRM11. So at first you can try to make a hardware mod for booting Conroe.
