Lenovo thinkpad s430 mod
#1
Good day all,

First time poster here.
Sorry if this is the wrong subforum, as i am not quite sure about the manufacturer of the bios (afaik, its not mentioned anywhere, or i haven't seen it).
I would like to request modifications for my bios, if possible. Preferably hidden menu unlocking, so i could tweak power and cpu settings.

Here's the link to bios:
http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products...s/DS029726

Thanks in advance

Here is the results.rar file. However, there were some errors about unknown commands, and it also mentioned somewhere that im running an "unsupported platform", which might be due to running on windows live usb. Please tell me if the results.rar is incorrect, and i shall then install windows on my second hdd if necesary.

I am srry mate You get
Error 280: Failed to disable write protection for the BIOS space!

So your Eeprom Chip is Write Protected and We can rewrite the Bios Mod
only using the Tools (SPI PGM and Clip) !
look here :

Well, then if i were to acquire a programmer for the chip, how would i get a bios modded to do any advanced configuration?
The disassembly and programming of the chip would not pose a problem, i have experience in computer repair and electronics.

No You have just dismantle the laptop to get out MoBo then will find Chipset and find these
Eeprom Chips :

--- Flash Devices Found ---
W25Q64BV ID:0xEF4017 Size: 8192KB (65536Kb)
W25Q32BV ID:0xEF4016 Size: 4096KB (32768Kb)

You will read files (Firmware) from these ones and You will get for Recovery
You have to upload them to me too so i will modify for You patching them !
After I will upload the Final version to be rewritten into the chips and voilà !
Let me know
Regards

P.S. googling You can find Hardware Maintnance Manual and Schematics too !
