My HP Pavilion G6 won't show bios

I tried to update my bios with and newer one and not the computer won't show anything but a black screen and the cap lock flashes twice.  I have tried to us a recovery flash drive and pushed FN + B and Windows key + B.  Neither of them will do anything.  Does anyone have any idea how to fix this.  I'm running windows 7 and the model number for the pc is g6-1b60us.

The cd rom clicks and the lights on my flash drive flicker like there's activity. I have tried hooking up and external monitor with no luck.
