Need bios unlock for asus A52JE
#1
Hello, i have dying discrete gpu on this laptop. I have made reflow but it is dying again slowly. Artifacts, bsod, random shutdown etc. So i checked that i have dual graphics, Intel hd graphics (core i5-430m) and ati radeon 5470. I want to completely disable discrete gpu, and to have working laptop on Intel gpu. But problem is that there are no available Intel gpu in device manager only is 5470 showed. And of course there is no option in bios to enable/disable graphics.

I tried to enable chipset menu in AMIBCP but it doesn't appear when on user or supervisor. So i under chipset menu>northbridge configuration>primary display i set to IGD from Auto and flashed bios. I had only blackscreen, everything worked fine, but i had to "blind flash" backup. Now i am afraid to change "igpu digital port b mode" to "dgpu is NOT fully muxed with dgpu. Now i want to unlock chipset menu in order that if setting fail, at least i can clear cmos to get working laptop.

Also when i tried with mmtool or uefitool i couldn't find specific code hex code 01 01 00 01 01 in normal pathway where someone was written on forum. I only found it in nvram block when i opened whole file with HxD. So i was afraid to flash.

Sorry for bad English

Discrete GPU can't be disabled because internal CPU graphics isn't used in this laptop.
Only discrete GPU is connected to LCD Panel.

Thank you moderator. So what is the purpose having integrated graphics when i can't use it?? Is there any trick to avoid discrete as primary? Can i use integrated it while conected to vga monitor? Or HDMI cable to Tv. Any option is acceptable, because soon i will dead gpu, and after it won't even post.

No trick, you can't. Only GPU chip replacement can help.

Thanks, because of your answer i gave up modding. So no unecessary risk of bricking laptop.
