Hello everyone,
I’m sorry if I’m posting this in the wrong section — I just didn’t want to make a mistake or break any rules.
I bought a Lenovo G50-80 notebook for my sister, who has special needs (autism), but I noticed she was crying and getting upset because the videos she loves kept freezing and lagging. So, I decided to upgrade the Wi-Fi card to a dual-band 5GHz model (Intel 3168NGW — shown in the photo).
Unfortunately, the laptop doesn’t accept the new card due to the BIOS whitelist. I really need help to remove this restriction, please — I’d be truly grateful from the bottom of my heart if someone could guide me.
I backed up the original BIOS using NeoProgrammer/AsProgrammer (screenshots attached), but after that, the laptop stopped turning on — it only blinks the power LED and the fan doesn’t spin anymore.
I have already ordered two new BIOS chips to try reprogramming it and hopefully bring it back to life.
If anyone can help me with the whitelist removal or tell me the correct way to flash a fixed BIOS, I would really appreciate it.
Thank you so much for your time and kindness.
