P5E3 SLIC 2.1 - Mission impossible?
#1
This Asus motherboard seems to be a hard case to implement SLIC 2.1 in. The certs (Asus) and DVD is auto activating on other modified Asus bioses without problems, but this one is a pain in the a..! I have been using Amitool 1.61 with a lot of different settings. (without really understanding the consequence of what I was doing!) Time to throw in the towel and ask for some help! Here is the link to the bios and some snapshots of the error.

Flash the ORIGINAL Unmodified Bios from DOS with the Included AFUDOS.
Then Flash the Modified BIOS fro mDOS with the Included AFUDOS.
Then install the Certificate Provided and an OEM SLP Key in Win 7.

Note:
Recommended Usage
Afudos /ixxxx.rom /pbnc /n
xxxx.rom is your Un-modified bios.
(Programs main BIOS image & bootblock image and resets CMOS and NVRAM to defaults)

Afudos /ixxxx.rom
xxxx.rom is your modified bios.
(Program main BIOS image)

Hi! I followed your instructions with all the neccesary jumper/battery out/power off - reset things between. Same sesults as 20 times before! RSDT invalid. Could not activate.
This is a hard one!

Try Flashing the modified BIOS with /pbnc /n switches.
PS
Post a R/W Everything Reports with Unmodified BIOS and Modified BIOS Flashed so I can get a look at what is hjappening.
I would tend to think that it is more just a matter of finding the proper Flash method to get the SLIC and RSDT updated properly with an SSV3 Mod.
But it may also be a problem with this Beta Bios.

I have tried all this. I have tried the final 1201 and 1407 bios - same sh...!
I have tried flashing with afudos2, but either it freezes or I got the message unsupported flash type. I have flashed in ezflash and with winflash. I have adjusted under advance in AmiTool, I have bricked and unbricked. Somebody claimed that Asus had been doing something to protect this bios from beeing SLIC'ed. Well, I am not sure about that, but I will come back with a WR everything at a later moment. Thanks for your interest!

ASUS hasn't done anything to these Bios updates to prevent SLIC insertion.
It seems it is a problem particular to your MB.
I have already done the P5E3 Premium, Deluxe and Pro MB's and they all worked fine.
Here is Bios 1502 with a DELL Slic (modded by someone else) that has been confirmed to be working:

The 1502 rev did not work here - same as before. Tried different way of flashing. My MB rev is 1.02G When I try to go back to 0904 bios it refuses to flash because the bios is too old for this MB Tried different ver of AFUDOS2, but none worked so far. Please have a look at the RW reports.

It's definitely seems to be a problem related to how you Flash it.
The RSDT isn't getting properly updated, this is fairly common on older ASUS MB's.

Try using Aflash2:

Hi! I tried Aflash2 first from bootable USB (Win98 Dos) and then from floppy, but the computer freezes immediately. (I have tried this before, but I wrongly called it AFUDOS2 in my last post) I have also downloaded a couple of newer versions of Aflash2. It is possible to load the newer ones, but when I try to flash they claim it is an unsupported flash memory type. Finally I just want to say that the MB is stable in both XP and Win7 64bit - with different CPU's (E8500 and Q9650) and different ram config. I am running out of ideas here...
I will continue looking for a flash utility that works, maybe try Dos 6.2....

The newest Aflash2 I found was v3.03, but the /all parameter is not supported according to the help screen. (When I try with /all it says unsupported flash type) I am able to load it -without parameter, but when I try to flash the 1502ver (from you) it claims the bios is bigger than the flash memory
