[Problem] After WhiteList Removal Flash my Lenovo U410 is identified as a U310
#1
Hello,

After I flashed my modded bios to the newest modded bios,

My Bios says it's a U310 instead of a u410,

I used the following method:

(11-26-2014, 12:35 PM)glsayson Wrote: Hi BDMaster! Thank you so much, I just did it myself through your instructions in another thread. I'm now using the 5100 card and it is so much faster connectivity.

To anyone who want to do it themselves, below is how I did it. Note this is for U310/410 with 65CN99WW BIOS.
1. Do BIOS backup using the BACKUP_Tools software. http://rghost.net/58219938
2. Extract the result.rar generated from step 1 and put in the .bin file to the same folder as patches.txt and UEFIPatch.exe which I got from http://www.xup.to/dl,12790204/U410_WW_Patch.zip/.
3. Drag the .bin file to the UEFIPatch.exe and it will run the patching and generate a .patched file.
4. Rename the .patched file to bios.bin and replace the bios.bin file in modified folder of any of the people here who requested for mod. You can use mine as given by BDMaster - http://rghost.net/59280450
5. Follow the instructions of README file for the USB boot and flashing command.

MANY THANKS BDMASTER!

No more "Unauthorized network card is plugged in - Power off and remove the miniPCI network card." error.

However, My HDMI-port stopped working after the flash, my WiFi-card works like a charm though.

I cannot run:
- NEW_BACKUP_FPTs
- Universal Bios Backup

Because they cannot read my BIOS. I think the flash of the Intel VBios went wrong.

What can I do in order to restore my HDMI-port?

This thread has got the same issue, however unresolved:

After a manual try, I succeeded in running the Backup FPTS:
I uploaded it to: http://rghost.net/60141448

We can roll back to your previous Bios (working !) if You get a Bios backup of It
Or I can use a Virgin one and injecting your Data into !
Let me know
Regards

P.S. It seems as You used a Bios Mod for an U410 and not your Bios Backup U310 modified !!!

Dear BDMaster,

Thanks for the answer,

I unfortunately (and stupid of me) do not own a Backup-Bios of my previous Bios anymore,

So it would be great if it is possible to use a 'virgin one'.

However I own a U410 Smile So I used the correct Bios Mod, but my Bios says it is an U310

It all started because the Intel Wireless card in my U410 is worthless and I exchanged it for a better one Smile So the Whitelist also has to be removed in the 'virgin' Bios Smile

It would be great if you could help me Smile
