If that'll help, there is an alternative: [GUIDE] Flash BIOS with CH341A programmer.

Thx for this tut. First i will try to replace my bios chip. I think its easier than this programming, but if it wont work maybe i will have to programm my chip.

I'm afraid the moderator will delete offtopic information, so I won't reply.

I successfully applied CPK 1.05 BIOS mod.

However, silly of me I changed some settings and now computer does not boot, it keeps on but does not even try to POST. The most relevant changes I remember having enabled is VTd (on a T3400), T States and Thermal Control TM1 and TM2 as well as #PROCHOT. Also disabled BIOS legacy boot since I wanted to install HAOS.

I tried removing RTC battery, short-circuiting poles on MB (and nothing), and creating a crisis disk flashing DOS image on a USB, keeping BIOS.WPH file and replacing unneeded files with WINCRISIS MINIDOS.SYS and PHLASH16.EXE files.

Tried to boot with USB plugged while pressing Fn+Esc but nothing seems to happen and after giving it some minutes, and rebooting, the problem remains.

I feel seriously stupid, and some help will be very much appreciated.

Fixed!

For the record you MUST use WINCRISIS, use a Windows XP 32 bits virtual machine to run it. Don't waste time with later versions. On the WINCRISIS folder copy the BIOS file, then run the tool. I used a 1GB flash drive. Then connect USB to laptop, connect power cord, press and keep pressed Fn+Esc and press power button,

Fan will not stop if it's really running and flash drive LED will flash for a few seconds. After 3 minutes laptop will reboot and work.

Disabling legacy boot does not cause BIOS corruption, it should be something related to thermal management.
