Hi friend,
You have to say to me if booting from USB using this Bios Mod You can start a WinXP or Win7 liveUSB version without issue and if Bios Setuputility is working well after applying Bios Mod !
I think You have to reinstall Win7, formatting your HP !
So let me know
Regards

hey BDMaster, i tried the modded bios too. and im having the same problem as those above.

was on windows xp, after flashing modded bios and power off, restart, xp will not boot. only black screen.

tried installing windows 7 on a spare harddrive, bsod stop error 0x0000005.

flashed unmodded bios, used original hdd with xp, it boots fine. tried install windows 7 on spare harddrive, works fine.

Hi! Does anyone still have the bios mod file? It's old and all links are (as you would expect) dead. I still have one of these laptops, and would like to be able to mess with OC:ing the cpu Smile

Thanks!
