Hello,
I have an MSI Z87 MPOWER motherboard and would like to modify the BIOS to have my NVMe ssd show up as a boot drive. The board supports a flash update utility (download available here https://download.msi.com/bos_exe/mb/7818v1B.zip ) and you can also save a bios "update" file to USB. The board has a second BIOS which you can switch to if the first one is corrupted. I've tried using UEFITool (Linux) to open the saved file E7818IMS.1B0. It complains this is not a proper image file, but you can see various sections, including some marked DXE. This problem is noted on the source site https://github.com/LongSoft/UEFITool . "The program is meant to work with BIOS images, not some vendor-specific BIOS update files" https://github.com/LongSoft/UEFITool
The MPOWER BIOS also has an option to boot the BIOS from USB, but the documentation doesn't indicate how such an image could be created.
Can anyone help?
Thanks
