[REQUEST] Add Boot from nvme to MSI MPower
#1
Hello,
I have an MSI Z87 MPOWER motherboard and would like to modify the BIOS to have my NVMe ssd show up as a boot drive. The board supports a flash update utility (download available here https://download.msi.com/bos_exe/mb/7818v1B.zip ) and you can also save a bios "update" file to USB. The board has a second BIOS which you can switch to if the first one is corrupted. I've tried using UEFITool (Linux) to open the saved file E7818IMS.1B0. It complains this is not a proper image file, but you can see various sections, including some marked DXE. This problem is noted on the source site https://github.com/LongSoft/UEFITool . "The program is meant to work with BIOS images, not some vendor-specific BIOS update files" https://github.com/LongSoft/UEFITool
The MPOWER BIOS also has an option to boot the BIOS from USB, but the documentation doesn't indicate how such an image could be created.
Can anyone help?
Thanks

Hello from Argentina, I send the modified Bios for the "MSI Z87 MPOWER MAX" board WITH PCI-E NVMe SUPPORT. I have the Motherboard and I was able to make the modifications in the Bios and the tests using the "Dual Bios". Cheers! (try it at your own risk) but you can save it yourself using the dual bios Wink .Official link of the modified motherboard: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/Z87-MPOWER.html ,Link en Mediafire del Bios: http://www.mediafire.com/file/3u58rj22fa...oy.7z/file ,(The bios was modified based on the latest version published on the official website). Sorry for my english, xD is a google translation.
