Hello Everyone

I would like to get the modded 304 bios in order to use the nvidia 960m in my external monitor because the built in graphic intet only allow 30 Hz using 4k.

Is it possible?

I've read that some laptops has the option to use the dgpu instead the igpu but not the Asus.

Hello! Asus GL552VW it's laptop with Optimus technology, so you can't disable Intel integrated graphic card.

This is what I've read but I thought that may be a modded bios would be do it.

Do you know if there is a way to get 4k@60Hz in a external monitor?

I have bought a usc-c to HDMI adapter to try via Display port (if the usb-c port supports it)

Hi. I have the Asus ROG GL552VL (not the VW). I have one problem since Windows Update forced to automatically update the BIOS to the latest version #304. The new BIOS 304 has an issue with Samsung SSD that prevents the laptop from starting, so I had to downgrade the BIOS to 303 (using afudos) and disable System Firmware at the Device Manager to prevent the BIOS to be automatically updated again.

The laptop is back to life after downgrading to 303, but now the keyboard backlight is not working, even though ATK Package 1.0.0061 is installed.

Is it possible to unlock or hack BIOS 304 for the GL552VL to solve the issue with the Samsung SSD?

Would the unlocked BIOS for the GL552VW be compatible with the GL552VL?
