[REQUEST] Bios Unlock MSI PS42 8RB i7
#11
(04-03-2019, 10:29 PM)hkc_rock Wrote: Hi Everyone,

May I have your help to unlock my bios. I have tried myself with AMIBCP but cannot figure out the way to bypass the checksum error. Attached official BIOS for my computer. Thanks!
Hi, I have a MECHREVO S1 and then I found that this uses the same motherboard mold as the PS42 8RB, marked MS-14B1 Ver: 1.0 on the motherboard.
Currently I have burned the latest BIOS version of the MSI PS42 8RB E14B1IMS.10C and all functions are working fine.
However, it is not possible to burn EC Firmware version 14B1EMS1.109 and the error message is "Product ID is incorrect!"
So I hope that friends with PS42 8RB can use the AFUWINGUIx64 or FPTw.exe tools to back up the current BIOS and give me a reference to modify my machine. thank you very much!

AFUWINGUIx64 tools: https://ami.com/en/download-license-agre...tility.zip
(Open AFUWINGUIx64.exe and click "Save", fill in the save name, then confirm and wait for completion.)

Please see if the attached file helps.

However, I discovered my computer stop working at ram 2666mhz now, which was fine in the past. I am not sure if I have messed up with anything. Even bios to factory restore couldnt help.
