I'm trying to install Mac OSX on my laptop (also Dell Inspiron 3421) but I can't enable graphics card because of the locked VRAM. God saved my life when I found this thread, so I want to know if this mod-bios has worked for your lap. I'm absolutely a newbie on the unlocking of BIOS, thus are there any chances for me??? If possible, please give me step by step guide! Thanks in advance!

Thank u so much for your reply. I'll give it a try, hope it'll work cos my lap was out of warranty a few days ago. However, are there any difference with Lagacy BIOS as I set Lagacy standard for my lap?

Legacy Bios permits to Boot from USB peripherals.

Thank u! Maybe you misunderstood my question, I mean if this tut is still effective for Legacy or only for UEFI. I know this is so a stupid question for you, but I've read the tut and there are sth I cannot get fully, so I ask you just for my certainty.
Sr for my bad English! Thanks again!

There isn't a manual to learn or apply the Unlock and many methods are getting

UEFI Bios is A05 version (first UEFI all Bioses after this one are UEFI so A12 too) :

Inspiron 3421 System BIOS Update A05: 3421A05.EXE

Thank u, but now I don't know whether to try to unlock BIOS or not. I've read many instructions and watched videos on Youtube to find something useful but nothing. My BIOS is a new technology AMI Aptio but except for this I know nothing and cannot find any softs helping me get more information about it. I downloaded Mbid from AMI website but it didn't work on win x64 based system. So stuck!!! I unlocked SLIC for my Dell some days ago, did this affect BIOS???

P/S: I've read the link you sent me but it's for Insyde BIOS. Will it work for my Aptio?
Thanks again!

BDMaster, thank you for all your support! I've made my own decision. Because my lap is out of warranty, so to me, this is too risky. Maybe I'll try again one day when I understand BIOSes more than now. I'm so sorry for your spending too much time on my problem without any positive results. You are really a good guy! Wish you happiness all time! Thanks again!!!

.zip   dell_3421_A13_backup.zip (Size: 2.78 MB / Downloads: 11) Hi all,
I've been lurking this forum for some time and I decided to register. I'd like to know if any of you would be able to provide me an unlocked BIOS for my Dell Inspiron 3421. I need to access advanced settings in order to make my laptop portable again, since battery charging is disabled but in my BIOS specifically there is no option concerning the battery. Summing up, I'd like to access the all Advanced Options.
My BIOS is A13, chip from MXIC 25L Series.
I'm gonna upload the backup I did with AFUWINGUI, in case that helps.
Anything else just ask.

Thanks in advace. I owe my life to anyone helping me =)[attachment=10764][attachment=10764]
