[REQUEST] HP Elitebook 8560p Whitelist Removal
#1
Hello,

I'm trying to use a Ericsson F5521gw WWAN module in my new HP Elitebook 8560p (The HP hs2340 HSPA+ Mobile Broadband Module has the same chip, but the BIOS disables the original Ericsson Module).

I'm using the newest BIOS F.03, in my case the 68SCF Family ROM
Link: BIOS F.03

Is there any possibility to remove the WWAN whitelist from this BIOS?

Thanks! Smile

I don't understand :-¿?

LOL, that a USB Vid/Pid Smile not PCI DeviceID.

The wwan card that came originally into the PC is USB or PCI-e???

I think i'm confused here.

Also what is the USB ID of the original card? That one is the one you want to use.

I'm also wondering about (the module is PCIe), but that's the only ID i found in the Device Manager where normally the PCI DeviceID is (I've plugged the module in my crappy old Medion Notebook which has no Whitelist Protection)

I've also a HP Mini 5101 with a Gobi WWAN Module, it also have a USB\VIDxxx-ID in the Device Manager!
