Hi guys,

I'm hoping that someone can help by removing the WIFI card whitelist from the Lenovo G505s Insyde BIOS in order that I can install an Intel 7260 adapter (8086:08b1).

If unable to remove the whitelist completely, is it possible to replace one of the existing IDs with the above ID, or add the above ID to the whitelist?

Many thanks for your assistance in advance Big Grin

Mick

Hello, Could someone please remove the wifi whitelist from my laptops bios?

I was looking thru the post on how to remove it from an insydeH20 bios myself but I don't trust myself to get it right.

I extracted the BIOS from my machine with Universal BIOS Backup ToolKit 2.0 LENOVO-83CN12WW(V1.01).rom

ATM it has 83CN12WW
If the BIOS dump does not suffice I can download the official update and flash that to the laptop and go from there.

Thanks in advance, Xerise

Edit:
Does anyone know if General method to remove whitelist from Insyde BIOS guide would work for this model of BIOS? as it seems to be for 1m BIOS's and mine is a 4m BIOS.
That's the main thing stopping me from trying my hand at this myself.

Thanks for the reply, I included this error info so you may not need to download the result unless all you need is the other dump files in the rar.
Let me know if there is anything else you need.
