Hello.
I won't open a new thread and will just use this one, because I have the same problem. I upgraded the CPU on my laptop from Pentium B960 to i5-3210M. Unfortunately the turbo boost doesn't seem to work. As user im1992 I would also like to ask you for a moded BIOS, so there are more settings available.
Motherboard: Lenovo G580 (20150)
BIOS Type: Insyde (03/14/2013)
BIOS Properties:
- BIOS Type: Insyde EFI
- BIOS Version: 5ECN96WW(V9.01)
- System BIOS Date: 03/14/2013
- Video BIOS Date: 03/14/12

Thank you in advance!

So can you pinpoint what options do I need to turn on to enable the Turbo mode? I found the Turbo Mode in Power/Advanced CPU Control. Item specific help also notes "Enable processor Turbo Mode (requires EMTTM enabled too)". The problem is that I cannot find this EMTTM option anywhere. Also, should I enable EC Turbo Control Mode as well?
