Do they have to flash both chips or only one?

Hi, I currently have bios 7ACN24WW on an intel based G700.
I was wondering if upgrading to 7ACN89WW would make my bios unwritable?
If not, then I plan to upgrade and will submit my bios dmp here.
If it might make it unwritable, then I will stick with the older BIOS version.
I planned to do the mod myself, though was having difficulty locating all of the software.

Hi! I have a Lenovo G700 with a Wireless Broadcom card. I have an Atheros network card that I want to switch with the Broadcom network card. But when I did it, It gives me the "unauthorized wireless network card. Power off and remove it". Thanks in advance!
