Hey everyone, this is a great forum. I've done a lot of reading on here and other sites regarding this issue. And after downloading several tools to try and do it myself I have determined that this is over my head. I would really appreciate some assistance with this. I have a Lenovo IdeaPad P500 and I just purchased an Intel 6235 Wifi card to get 5GHz only to receive the dreaded 'Unauthorized wireless card' error upon booting up. I'll list all the information I have including a backup file of the current BIOS using Universal BIOS Backup Toolkit 2.0. Currently there are no downloadable BIOS updates from Lenovo for this model. I really want to be able to use the new wifi card I bought. And I am willing to compensate anyone who can modify my BIOS and get it working.
Model - Lenovo IdeaPad P500
BIOS Backup Link - https://www.box.com/s/1tcw57r8t0cairo7kajw
BIOS Type - InsydeH20 Rev 3.7
BIOS Version - 71CN22WW v1.05
Current WiFi Card - Intel Centrino 2230
Hardware ID - PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0888&SUBSYS_42628086
Future WiFi Card (Hopefully) - Intel Centrino 6235
Thanks,

Somebody give it a shot please...I can't stand being forced to use a part that is easily replaceable.
