[REQUEST] Lenovo IdeaPad P400, P500, Z400, Z500 (71CNxxWW) Whitelist Removal

I have a Lenovo P500 Touch Laptop, and want to remove the whitelist to upgrade the wifi. Its an insyde bios, bios firmware 71cn51ww.

I flashed a bios from someone else's backup and lost my windows key if someone can edit the one at the top that would be great.

Any help would be appreciated. if i need to supply more info let me know.

UPDATE: I was able to flash someone's else modded bios for this laptop, and it copied their windows key so i lost my genuine windows and its requesting an activation.... really would like it if some one could help me out. This is the wifes laptop and she'll kill me if i mess it up.

Wasn't able to flash the factory first but was able to flash to modded bios without an issue. My intel 7260 should be in tomorrow so i will know then if whitelist is removed. Bios is unlocked now so i can confirm that. Thanks Sovem your a life saver!

Hi Sovem,

I've got a Lenovo Z500 running 71cn55ww BIOS - will this one work OK for me? Or does it need to be specific to the laptop (unique IDs etc...) and will I keep my Windows license? It seems to be embedded in the BIOS these days.

I was able to use the upgraded 7260ac wifi card without issue. Thanks again

From personal experience write down your windows key before flashing any miffed bios.
