Ok friend,
the Eeproms are Always near the Chipset as It needs much power to rewrite It !
So find the chipset and You'll find Eeprom !
There are two on Z500 :

Thanks for all the help guys.... I will be ordering the stuff tonight to try reflashing the BIOS via hardware... Nice to have to be able to do it on my own... Right now, I have Mac OSX 10.9.4 working flawlessly, the only thing I needed was a modded bios for the wifi card whitelist and I found one, but I made some changes to the GPU memory allocation and thats when everything broke. Learned my lesson about changing any of that.. I still don't fully understand how just changing the amount of RAM to use on the iGPU would break the BIOS, but thats the only thing I changed and it just stopped working. Oh well... Im trying to find the flasher and the clip locally in the states so I don't have to wait so long for shipping, since most of them are located in China, and that takes quite a while.

Hello everyone, i have lenovo z500 laptop and i turned it to a "hackintosh". but my crappy wireless adapter (intel centrino pro wireless n2230) didn't compatible with my hack os x, aand i decided to change it with azureware/broadcom bcm94352 chip, so i can use wireless capability of my laptop on os x.

I think my bios is whitelisted-it (i don't know because i couldn't purchased new one unfortunately) and before i purchase the new wifi adapter, i wanted to mod my bios, so my laptop will be ready for my oncoming wireless adapter and i will only install and use it.

But i'm newbie in the bios modding and i don't know what am i supposed to do. I need help, can anyone help me?

my insydeh2o version is 3.7, my current bios version is v1.10 (71CN31WW) and (updated) stock bios (in lenovo's site) is : http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobi...cn51ww.exe

I think my bios backup is needed, so how i can extract my system rom bios image for modding?

first of all, thank you for fast responding BDMaster, i've ran both files uploaded by you, but since i don't have windows os in my hd, (only os x installed) i've created bootable usb windows and then ran these utilities on the live usb windows 8.1, is it ok? (is that makes any problem?) because i've seen some error messages on screen captures, about intel flash toolkit or application (or something related with intel and flash)

Hi again, before flashing the file, i want to ask you a question:
When i executed the flash.bat, intel flash programming tool says protected range registers are set in bios error, should i hit the Enter?
