Ok use this Guide :

pdate from pure DOS with USB-bootable stick
See how to make one here:
http://www.howtogeek.com/136987/how-to-c...usb-drive/

https://app.box.com/s/w8xgrhpwf2nx0kamfkc0

http://rufus.akeo.ie/?locale=en_US

Copy the "Modified" folder contents into the stick and boot in DOS mode and
Run Flash.bat to update.

Don't touch Video Settings or Disable Video Card It will Brick laptop !!!

Please post results.
This mod for your PC only!!!

Remember to go into Bios Setup and Disable SecureBoot and Set Legacy Bios USB !!!

I figured out why. I had not set legacy bios. I was able to flash it and it worked. Thanks a lot.

Hi,

well i bricked my Lenovo Z500 and i'm trying to flash the bios with a CH341A programmer. The problem is that there are 2 bios Chips and i have only one bios.bin file. How i can split it?

Fyi, i already flashed something at the bios chips, meaning i splitted the bios to two parts with a Hex Editor but i don't know each file must contain to be flashed to two bios chips.

Is there anybody with a backup bios from the two chips??

Regards,
Thanos

Would You upload these files ?
Normaly these two files are allocated into space address like one, by the Chipset !
Fitmware is composed by many Regions :

Descriptor
ME
GbE
Bios
PdR

I have to check to see what you have done (I haven't a full dump firmware), but
I will try to rebuild your Firmware from the Original Bios File !
Let me know

W25Q32BV ID: 0xEF4016 Size: 4096KB (32768Kb)
W25Q16BV ID: 0xEF4015 Size: 2048 Kb (16384Kb)

As You can see from . . .

W25Q32BV ID: 0xEF4016 Size: 4096KB (32768Kb)
W25Q16BV ID: 0xEF4015 Size: 2048 Kb (16384Kb)

There are two chips so You could had have to get two files
about same dimension 4096 KB and 2048 KB , but You sent to me files
out of sense as They are Bios original (I already have It), Bios Backup
(It could be output from FPT or UBBT) and others cropped !
All not useful !
You have not read from Eeprom Chip them !
I need to get both files getting by read chips and doung a DUMP !
If You give to me these files I will rebuild the Bios File to rewrite into
Eeprom Chip !
Regards

P.S. just to explain It better ! 4096 + 2048 = 6144 KB = Bios Extracted
from Original File = Firmware ! But It can be 4096 + 2048 or too
2048 + 4096 always 6144 but chunks are different

2048 : AA BB CC DD EE FF . . .

4096 : 11 22 33 44 55 66 . . .

Starting 2048 + 4096 It different than 4096 + 2048

4096 : 11 22 33 44 55 66 . . .

2048 : AA BB CC DD EE FF . . .

So I have to see where to cut Original Firmware to get 2048 or 4096
then the rest will be right.
