[REQUEST] Lenovo IdeaPad P400, P500, Z400, Z500 (71CNxxWW) Whitelist Removal
Actualy the Firmware is displaced into a continuos memory area and the Chipset does this work !
So Chipset read and write the Firmware form Eeprom Chips and reallocate It into Hi-Mem Area
It's a RAM Protect are where is present NVRAM too !
I haven't the Full Firmware to analize so if You would uplod It for me here I will be able to analyze
and can reply exactly !
Let me know
Regards

You have two Eeprom Chips :

I will add some files, but to be perfectly honestly, I don't remember which files were which... This happened like 4 months ago, and the laptop was bricked since then. I saved everything I was using so Im pretty sure that these go to it, but Im not sure of the dumps that I have. I will zip a few of these directories up, but the basic firmware is the 71cn51ww.exe file... The dual chip is throwing me off.. When I bought the MiniPro TL866, adapter and cable, I was thinking that basically I'd load of the ROM file and put the adapter onto the 8 pin bios chip and press the magic flash button.

OK, I am really confused. I wasn't trying to be a smarta$$ or funny really. I know some of those files might have been useless, but wasnt the main Bios firmware the 71cn51ww.exe file? I think there is some mis understanding about my post that might have come off wrong. When I said I was joking, I was referring the the post about how simple I thought it was, more specifically, "pressing the magic flash button". I know this isn't that simple, hence I said I was just joking on that. Im really not trying to waste anyones time. I just don't understand how to do the actual flash to the hardware with the Programmer with 2 chips. Again, if I said something that offended you, then im sorry, that wasn't my intention. I really do want to learn, Im not wanting anyone to do everything for me. I don't want you to mod my BIOS, I don't want you to make changes. The only reason I posted those files, was you ask for something, but to be honest it was over 4 months ago and I just flat out dont remember. Since the laptop wont turn on, I cant run any of these programs on it currently. I just pulled a compilation of what I had, because things like those DUMP filles didn't mean anything to me, but I thought maybe it would be helpful to you. Again, Im not really sure where I screwed up and rubbed you the wrong way, other than maybe there is a miscommunication with my previous post.

Firmware is composed by two Eeproms Chips so It would be two files
each one from any Eeprom reading process !
Then these two files needs to joined !
Your file is the Original Bios file It contains only the Bios Region
while Firmware contains 4/5 Regions Descriptor, ME, Bios, GbE, PdR.
So You have to read each Eeprom and upload these two files !

When I get home, I will see if I can even read the chips with the MiniPro and the adapter and clip, so I don't have to de-solder the chips. now that I know the make of the chip, I can load that into the software and try to read each one properly. Thank you. I obviously have no idea about any of this, other than things I've read, but this one seems slightly more complicated that I thought. i will do everything I can to try.

Let me know as MiniPro is not so able to read Eeprom Chips on-board and You have to get a good clip !

Oh really? Is there another software that will work with this reader that would be able to read the chips better? As far as the clips, I don't know if I got a good one, as it was just a cheap one on amazon. Did you get my donation? Just wanted to say thank you for your help? despite the miscommunication earlier.

No matter what I do, I've tried both chips, tried moving the clip to different positions on the adapter and on the chip, nothing will read.. It always says "Please reflash firmware. Select
----

I dont have a regular chip anywhere to test... Is there an easier chip on the mother board to test if Im doing this correctly?
