Hi, I,m also new here.
I would like to change the wireless lan card on my u410 from original to the
Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260
Is this any good?

please let me know if I would be better with another card.

I Have acquired an asus RT AC 68U router
but have come to the conclusion that the original wireless card in the computer is pants.

My laptop is a Lenovo U410 (bought in Canada) with firmware 65CN21WW

New to the forum but done a bit of reading on the subject and bought a new Intel AC 7260 (7260HMW)

Would like to request a WIFI whitelist removal of a U410 Touch Ideapad or help on a solution to use the new card.

I've tried to create a bios backup with Universal BIOS Backup 2.0 toolkit, downloaded from the forum. (Run As Administrator).
- Error : Can not identify the BIOS!

Booted into BIOS and can provide the following info:
Product Name: Lenovo IdeaPad U410 Touch
BIOS Version: 65CN97WW
KBC Version : 65EC83WW

Win8 STD MLT

- current WIFI hardware id: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0888&SUBSYS_42628086&Rev_C4
Model : Intel Centrino N 2230

- NEW WIFI hardware FCC IDD97260H

Is there another way to make a bios backup or could I change the PCI ID on the new card? Have a few spare laptops lying around but would like a safe solution.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hello

I would like to request the removal of the whitelist from my bios for my U410 ideapad.
I currently have the stock WIFI card installed, but I'd like to replace it.

The current WIFI card hardware id is: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0891&SUBSYS_42228086&REV_C4

I want to install a Qualcomm Atheros Wireless AR5BHB92 WIFI card in the machine. It's info is:
FCC IDPD-AR5BHB92-H
