I am unable to make my USB boot from BIOS. I have tried rufus, HP tool and RMPrepUSB. I tried my SARDU multi boot USB it also does not boot from the BIOS. When I select the USB device on boot selection it simply reboots back into Windows!

Is there any way I can flash this from inside the Windows?

You have to go into Bios Setup then Disable Secure Boot and Set Legacy Bios USB !!!

I do not have a secure boot option in the BIOS. I don't see an option. But legacy USB is enabled.

Anyways, I have created an ISO image with this, I will burn it to a DVD/CD and will let you know by tomorrow as I do not have a spare DVD lying around.

Thanks

I tried booting from the cd/dvd, but the BIOS files are not accessible from the freeDOS command prompt even though I have placed them in the root of the drive.

Can I flash this from the Windows recovery command prompt?

Thanks

Try to flash It from Windows so copy the "modified" folder to C: root place HD and then open
a Comand Prompt (CLI) with Admin Rights and then execute these comands :

cd \
cd modified
fptw -f bios.bin -bios

or for x64 use fptw64 -f bios.bin -bios

Look the reply if You get PASSES then is all ok !

I get these errors.

'fptw64' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

'fptw' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

Tried both the commands.

Okay it is fpt.exe
It says the following

"This version of C:\Modified\fpt.exe is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information and then contact the software publisher."

Thanks

I have downloaded the fptw64 from an ASUS Forum and run the command.

Going for a reboot. If I do not log in here and edit my comments there might be some problems! Otherwise I will log back in and update my comment.

Thanks

Note: Edited - Running fine without a freeze or hang so far.

But I do not able to see any advanced options in bios such as secure boot. My windows recovery disk booted fine but all other bootable USB's are not. Does it have anything to do with hidden settings in the bios?
