Hello everyone,
i have new request.
Installed internally a mini pci-e raiser on my Lenovo M93p Tiny model 10AA
I was supposed it wasn't in a whitelisted problem, due to that: it isn't a wifi device (i'm try to install external GPUs).
But it doesn't work so, it is possible to bypass at all the whitelist? The trick of reflashing with model/sn set to INVALID not worked.
So specific product model/name is: 10AAS0X90X
The bios is named as: FBKTDBA
but the filename reports this name: FBJYDBUSA
here is the Link: https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/think...wdbusa.exe
Or platform dependant: https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/think...ydbusa.exe

I have solved it, re-flash the latest version of bios. When you flash, choose to modify the MODEL to INVALID and modify the SN to INVALID. After startup, the computer reports the SN error. Do not bother, the computer will skip checking the white list and you enter the bios to modify The boot item is the hard disk, and you can start the system.
How do I get into the BIOS? I have a M93p Tiny what I just flashed with INVALID for both Model and SN. It is now showing Error Code 1962. No Operating System Found. I've tried CTRL+ALT_DEL and hit F12 with no success. Do I have a brick now?

UPDATE:
I have gone through the "Recovering from Post/Bios Update Failure" steps in the M93p Hardware Maintenance Manual and managed to flash an older version of the BIOS. It is now showing "Error 0162: Setup data integrity check failure. Press F1 to enter Setup. F2 to resume." Both F1 and F2 are non-responsive. Can anyone offer any suggestions? I'm beginning to think changing the Model and SN to INVALID with the latest ROM was detrimental.

UPDATE#2:
After finding a post on the Lenovo forumn https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkCentre...-p/4014470 , I tried a different keyboard and was able to get into the BIOS with the F1 key. Just for reference, I was using a Microsoft keyboard that did not work. I switched over to a DELL keyboard and it worked.
As for bypassing the whitelist check, changing the Model and SN to INACTIVE did NOT work for me. I even tried older versions of the BIOS with no success. My current version of BIOS Revision Level is FBKTDBAUS. Current Boot Block Level is FBDBA with a BIOS date of 12/24/2019. If anyone can suggest a solution, please let me know. Would love to have WIFI on my M93p Tiny.
I'm happy that I got my M93p back working! I was getting a little worried there..

But I was able to circumvent the whitelist by adding the device I wanted to use to the existing whitelist - overwriting one of the other entries with the vendor/device ID I wanted.

I have tried the solution from tomado09 posted in his reddit page. See quoted thread.
However, I have not been able to properly dump the BIOS as per the guide, moreover in successfully applying the search and find hex pattern that he suggested. The BIOS chip in my M93p is different with the one shared in the guide, this might affect the result.
Same with you, would love to have WiFi on my M93p Tiny.

BUMP & UPDATE:
It seems correct that my problem is far away from whitelist, the problem is related to the unavailability of the pcie speed, it should be set to x16 by default, and no options to set at x1 (gen1).
There is any way to change this setting? Or to enable it's setting on bios screen? (it seems H2OUVE.exe not working: gives an "Failed to get bios data! Fail to get Variable Information."...maybe due to encryption?)
(btw, i think also having a mod to skip whitelist it's always useful....)
Thanks,

Hello all.
Just want to share, that the above thread and guide by tomado09 absolutely works.
In the case of my M93p, here is what is the ingredients of success:
1. Use flashrom software to read, verify and afterwards write the BIOS. I am having a hard time using CH341a programmer, but very smooth when using flashrom.
2. The placement of the SOIC clip is very crucial, to determine a successful read-verify phase.
3. Don't forget to read and verify afterwards, to make sure that all the reads are identical. In my case, I do multiple read-verify on each chip, and then comparing (using HxD) between each read to make sure that all the subsequent reads are identical.
4. The method and the tools for find and replace the whitelist also works. Just make sure you follow each process.
Thank you.

BIOS Upgrade file: https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/think...ydbusa.exe
Would like a whitelist removal for this model system. I attached the BIOS dump from the two chips via CH341a programmer. Dropbox link here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/hlur16e8vqz2qh...d.bin?dl=0
Let me know if any additional info is needed! (First time requester)
Thanks!
Edit, I was able to whitelist all devices using IDA Freeware and extracting the P32 body under the "error message" section/GUID/whatever. Changed a JNZ to a JMP and the whitelist was bypassed. I have no idea if this will work for anyone else or if I did it correctly but it appears to work for me. Programmed with the CH341A directly. Flash at your own risk.
