Is the original dump flashed normally? Did you use a programmer with a clothespin or desolder the flash drive?

Hello Bro,
Yes it is original dump from the BIOS chip with USB SPI CH341A without desoldering.

Thank you.

Hello Bro,
Yes it is original dump from the BIOS chip with USB SPI CH341A without desoldering.

Thank you.

Sorry, my English is not my native language.
1. What software do you use for the CH341A? Not the one that was included, I hope?
Use alternative programs SiberiaProg, AsProgrammer or NeoProgrammer
2. Flash programming without soldering from the board = unpredictable result. In-circuit programming is very unstable.
3. Are you choosing the chip model correctly from the list?
P.S. recently, a person flashed Lenovo B590 without soldering, it was possible to flash only once from the 20th with disconnecting and reconnecting the clothespin.

LP140WF3(SP)(D1)
Thank you!
You're looking to add the **LP140WF3-SPD1** LCD panel to your **Lenovo ThinkPad T450s**, likely as an upgrade or replacement to ensure brightness controls work properly.

Here's what you need to know:

### ✅ **Compatibility of LP140WF3 (SP)(D1) with ThinkPad T450s**

* **Yes**, the **LP140WF3-SPD1** is **compatible** with the Lenovo **T450s**.
* It is a **14" Full HD (1920x1080) IPS** panel — commonly used in upgraded T450s models.
* Many T450s units shipped with 1366x768 TN panels, which do not support proper brightness controls or color quality.

### ?️ **To Ensure Brightness Controls Work**

1. **BIOS Whitelist:**
T450s does **not have a strict BIOS panel whitelist**, so custom panels like the SPD1 version generally work **without flashing a custom EDID**.

2. **Use the Correct eDP Cable:**

* Make sure you're using the **2-lane eDP cable** required for FHD panels.
* Part Number: **00HT741** (or 00HN878 for touch models).
* If you're upgrading from an HD panel, **you *must* replace the cable** to support the FHD screen properly.

3. **Backlight Type:**

* The SPD1 variant uses **PWM-controlled LED backlighting**, and brightness is handled via the **Intel GPU driver**.
* Make sure to use the **Intel Graphics Driver from Lenovo's support site**, not just the generic Intel one.

4. **OS-Specific Fixes (if needed):**

* **Windows 10/11**: Should work natively after driver update.
* **Linux**: May need kernel parameter tweaks (`acpi_backlight=native` or `vendor`) if brightness control isn’t functional.

### ? Other Panel Variants in the LP140WF3 Series

If you're sourcing the panel, **stick to SP(D1), SP(D2), SP(D3)** — all are good IPS options with working brightness and compatibility with T450s.

### ? Summary of What You Need

| Component | Part / Info |
| --------- | ------------------------------------------- |
| LCD Panel | LP140WF3-SPD1 (FHD IPS) |
| eDP Cable | 00HT741 (non-touch) or 00HN878 (touch) |
| Driver | Lenovo Intel Graphics Driver (Win/Linux) |
| Tools | Plastic spudger, small Phillips screwdriver |

Hello,
I am asking for your help to remove the LCD whitelist and enable advance menu for a T450s.
I have uploaded the BIOS file here:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1...sp=sharing

I have tried myself to remove the LCD whitelist, following the instruction from another website; whitelist was removed, brightness control in Win11 is working but every time I power on the laptop it beeps 10 times.
After putting back the original bios, beeping is stopped but this also brings back the Whitelist for the LCD Sad
Maybe I am doing something wrong or the other instructions are not valid any more.
For modding the image I used UEFITool_0.28.0 and the bios is version 1.37.

Appreciate the help, or any guidance on how to get rid of the beeps.
