This is only to Extract Bios Files for use with PMT 264 !
To flash the Bios Mod You have to follow this one . . .

No mate You have to open a Command Prompt with Admin Rights and get
a CLI window C:\ with cursor blinking then run FLASH.BAT !
How to open a Command Prompt from Folder with FLASH.BAT file . . .
open the folder like normal and make pointer on empty place then press
left shift key and right mouse click so It will be open a window ro choice
commands then get "open command prompt from here" and left click to
choice It !
Now You can execute the command into right way !
You can execute Flash.bat (like a batch file) or execute the command which is
wrote into that's WINUPTP.EXE /s
Any command is Always followed by ENETER KEY !!!

Manual Update


This section assumes to use Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer.

[Downloading file]
Click once on the underlined file name. Once this is done, some pop-up windows will appear.
Follow the instructions on the screen.
In the window to choose Run or Save, click the Save button.

AT THIS POINT YOU HAVE BE SURE TO DESELECT THE CHECKBOX JUST TO SAVE BIOS FILES !!!

Thanks for the detailed explanation. I ran PMT tool and got Pubkey(x1).

Now to mod the bios should I copy your folder into c:\DRIVERS\FLASH\8quj12us folder and run FLASH.bat as ADMIN (from cmd).
Then continue with the install from exe, which was paused for extracting the files before.

Is that right?

Thanks for your help.

Continuing install didn't work. I got a message saying that BIOS is same, no need for update.

Ok. So I was able to flash with your instructions. After the changing the network card, computer wont reboot. It wont get to windows, just keep on rebooting on repeat.

The card I am trying to install is intel dual band wireless-ac 7260HMW WiFi+Bluetooth 4.0 PCIe Half Mini Wifi Card.

It's not bricked or halted. Works with the old card and without any wifi card too. Just does not work with new wifi card. Goes to main Thinkpad boothing bios screen and restart.

I backed up BIOS using Universal BIOS toolkit. See attached.

It goes into reboot loop like before. Maybe i need to flash with the original bios first. Will that help? If so, any pointers how to do that.
