I would pay few bucks for unlocked bios file, but no for some Hardware toolkit -too much work for me, change hardware id or change modem is easier way.

My stock Intel N2230 WiFi card died randomly (not detected at all anymore, so no WiFi and no Bluetooth), and I'd need the stupid whitelist removed.. just like everyone else here

BIOS is V2.52 (I did not update to V2.53 or higher because they just enable write protection to prevent this mod.. how pathetic of lenovo)

Worked perfectly I'm now using a random Atheros AR9285 WiFi card I stole out of my old Atom netbook. Time for a 7260AC I guess

Hello,

I would like to have the whitelist removed from my Thinkpad Edge E130 as well so I can upgrade to an Intel WiFi card and use 5GHz frequencies.

Luckily I didn't upgrade beyond the write protection updates either and my BIOS is still 2.52 (H4ET92WW).

I made a backup using Universal BIOS Backup ToolKit v2.0 and attached it to this post.
